Flatroad Atelier

About Flatroad Atelier

Our Story

Flatroad Atelier was born from a simple studio habit: break complex paintings into accountable parts. We formalized that habit into modules—edges, values, color, composition—so artists can isolate cause and effect, then reassemble skills with intention.

Mission

Advance painterly judgment through deliberate practice. We teach process over tricks, critique over platitudes, and structure over overwhelm.

What “Modular” Means

Modules are small, self-contained courses that you can sequence based on goals. You choose the track; we ensure continuity and rigor.

Milestones

2019 — Pilot workshops on value control and edge hierarchy.
2021 — Full modular catalog launches with oil, watercolor, and acrylic tracks.
2024 — Private critique program introduces rubric-based feedback.
2026 — Advanced color systems track with gamut mapping studios.
